Stoke City's home stadium will bear bet365's name for six seasons.
Premier League's Stoke City has struck a deal with British bookmaker bet365 for a sponsorship deal of their home pitch for the next six seasons.
One of the world's most recognizable bookmakers will also be sported on the team's jerseys for another three seasons. John Coates, vice president of Stoke City and CEO of bet365 also said:
“There’s no doubt bet365 has benefitted enormously from the global exposure our shirt sponsorship agreement with the club has given us.
We have been looking to extend our portfolio of sports sponsorship and entering into a stadium naming rights agreement with Stoke City seemed a natural fit, especially as the city of Stoke-on-Trent is home to bet365.”
The new sponsor will be a replacement for Britannia Bank, which lent its name for the 28,000-seater for the past 20 seasons.
